Claire caught a lizard in the backyard this afternoon.  She named him "Bluetail".  We put him in a plastic container and poked holes through the saran wrap on the top.  While I was putting Molly down for her nap Claire found window crayons and decorated the container.  Then she decided to set him free.  Then she caught him again.  The she set him free again.  Then she cried.

Being 5 is tough.

So is being a lizard.

We celebrated Jeremy's birthday today a day early because Claire will be at her dad's house tomorrow night.  Claire and Molly painted some little canvases that we framed, and we went out to dinner at WoodRanch BBQ to celebrate.

We got out the "Birthday Hat" that is now the designated hat you must wear on your birthday at our house.  Jeremy was a good sport.  Pretty handsome for 47.
